If I were new here in Gensan or if I'm traveling and wanted to drop by KCC MALL of Gensan, I'd want to know, if my favorite restaurant is there. After malling, shopping or just craving for feel-good food, you'd want to have a quick-bite or linger for awhile and enjoy some company. So I made a list of the restaurants currently found there.

  • Jollibee
  • Original Razon's
  • KFC
  • Pizza Hut
  • Chowking
  • Greenwich
  • Mang Inasal
  • Nanay Bebeng
  • Mandarin Tea Garden
  • Pritong Manok

job interview

I got a surprise text two days ago from a job application i submitted more than a year ago. This is from one of the Philippines’ prestigious company. I was interviewed then but had to decline later because I was pregnant, which I did not know yet at the time of the interview. Apparently, they don’t hire pregnant women, which is quite understandable given the workload and the quality of work I was applying for. They told me that after I give birth and if I am still interested I could reapply. After I gave birth, I heard that they were already training someone for the position, so I didn’t bother to reapply anymore. And anyway, I have a newborn to take care of. I have no regrets in the least, because I love taking care of my kids. They’re enjoyable to watch, especially when they learn and do something new.
Fast-forward to the present, I was invited for an interview two days ago. I did not really expect this. So there I went and was quite excited and nervous at the same time. All went well. Like the last time, they gave me forms to fill-up and essays to write. I was interviewed by two separate people, they actually almost had the same questions for me. Now, I’m hoping for the best. I’m waiting for a call for another set of interviews from their Regional Head Design Officer and National Head Design Officer. I hope they’re still the same persons who interviewed me the last time. And now the only thing to do is wait for the call, REHEARSE my lines and answers to a list of possible questions they would ask me. Hopefully, I don’t stutter and be redundant. That’s all I’m wishing for! So good luck to me!

Manny is married to Maria Geraldine “Jinkee” Jamora and they have four children namely: Emmanuel Jy. “Jimuel, Michael, Princess, and Queen Elizabeth. He appeared in several films like Lisensyadong Kamao (his first leading role), Anak  ng Kumander and Wapakman, to name a few. He also made it to the music industry and made two albums. Aside from Pac-Man, another of his famous nicknames is ‘The Mexicutioner’, because of the number of famous Mexican boxers he defeated in different weight divisions. Among them are Juan Manuel Marquez, Antonio Margarito, Marco Antonio Barrera, Jorge Solis and Erik Morales. Some of his latest ‘non-Mexican’ wins are against Timothy Bradley, Shane Mosley, Joshua Clottey, Miguel Angel Cotto, Ricky Hatton, Oscar De La Hoya and David Diaz. Some people and critics doubt if he will ever defeat those bigger and heavier than him. Against all odds, he defeated them, but of course with the perfect partnership and hard-disciplined training from his team and Coach Freddie Roach. He hurdled boxing’s weight divisions from Flyweight, Super Bantamweight, Featherweight, Super Featherweight, Lightweight, Light Welterweight, Welterweight and Light Middleweight. He is a Southpaw fighter and has a powerful left fist that can knock-out contenders in one punch. But during his recent fights, he has also developed his right hand to equal his left. Manny has speed, power and accuracy in his punches which obtain him his wins.

Beauty and Brains in One: A Beauty Queen and an Architect
SHAMCEY SUPSUP: Crowned Bb. Pilipinas Universe on April 10, 2011 and represented the Philippines in the 60th Miss Universe 2011 beauty pageant in Sao Paulo, Brazil, which she garnered the 3rd place.
Shamcey Gorea Supsup was born on May 16, 1986 in Iligan City, Philippines to proud parents Marcelina Gorea and Timoteo Supsup. The family moved to General Santos City when she was 3 years old.  She graduated as a Salutatorian from Makati High School. She studied Bachelor of Science in Architecture in the University of the Philippines (Diliman Campus) and graduated as Magna Cum Laude. She ranked no.1 Top Notcher in the June 2010 Philippine Architecture Board Exam.
This 5-foot-8, 105-pound beauty, whose interests include painting, drawing, and reading books also bagged the Bb. Pilipinas 2011 Miss Talent, Miss Cream Silk and Philippine Airlines awards. During the question and answer portion of the pageant, she was asked, "What worthy of cause do you identify yourself with and why?" She answered, "I think the one worthy cause I can identify myself with is education. Because I believe education is something that cannot be taken away from you. You can have money, you can have fame, but in the end, it can be taken from you. But education will always be there to help you."
She is also known for her "tsunami-walk" style of walking. It's like she's gliding over the stage, with her hips undulating like the "tsunami wave", hence the tag tsunami-walk. It gave her more personality and made the dresses she's wearing more beautiful and stunning.
On the question and answer portion of the Miss Universe 2011 pageant, she was asked by american actress Vivica Fox, " Would you change your religious beliefs to marry the person that you love? Why or why not?" Shamcey answered, "If I would have to change my religious beliefs, I would not marry the person that I love. Because the first person that I love if God, who created me." She added, "I have my faith and my principles, and this is what makes me who I am. If the person loves me, he'll love my God, too".
An intelligent and articulate woman, she's the only one among the top five(5) finalists to answer in English without an interpreter.

Manny Pacquiao's retiring?

I have read in a news recently that Manny Pacquiao is retiring. He said that God told him in a dream to retire from boxing soon. How soon is that? Probably add a couple or more fights? I guess, Mommy Dionisia's wishes will finally come true, if Manny obeys what God has told him in his dreams. (see report at this website)
He has won so many fights already with 54-3 win-loss record, he really has nothing to prove anymore because he's already at the top. Even the hoped-for fight with Mayweather Jr. is slowly losing its appeal. Mayweather's probably afraid he'll lose. Anyway, that's good for Manny and mommy Dionisia, shell have more peace of mind. When he retires, maybe he could focus more on his political duties. He has already done some good things with Sarangani province. So good luck Manny and may you think about it well! Boxing's not the only thing you're good at. And may you continue to change for the best you can be!

Learning Blogger

After I finished my 2 free wordpress websites a few days ago, I decided to continue on my blogger account and blog about my beloved hometown, General Santos City. Today, I made a commitment to learn blogger.com. I made a few pages already that serves as the "head" pages.  And now, I want to create a sub-page for every "head"-page I've created, just like what I did with my wordpress blogs. But now, I'm facing a brick wall and how do I break through it? I've initially searched/googled on "how-to-create-subpages-in-blogger", but to my dismay, there's nothing really helpful. Apparently, there's no way to create sub-pages. Now, what do I do? Hmmm..I really don't know yet. I'm presented with a challenge, and now, I will have to find a way around it, make-do with what is available for now. And continue searching for that elusive piece of information. For now, all my "to-be sub-pages" will just be under my blog posts and archived. I will find a way, dig and search deeper, so good luck to me!

It's ready!

Finally! It's ready! I've created two website blogs already. But it's in wordpress.com. Just click those two tab pages entitled: "SouthpoinT gallery" and "Human Nature in GenSan". In SouthpoinT Gallery, you'll see my Online Portfolio of works. And in Human Nature in Gensan, of course, you'll see/read on my blog about Human Nature NOW in Gensan. Because my sister Hanna is a product dealer of Human Nature Products. It's actually just being sold only here in the Philippines and the U.S. of A. It's ORGANIC, NATURAL and 100% NO HARMFUL CHEMICALS. It's a healthy assortment of beauty and health products good not only for you and your family but for everybody! You can browse through the website to learn more about it (or go to the official website at  http://humanheartnature.com/). If you are a Gensan resident, you can place an order, but we actually serve not only Gensan but also the surrounding Socsksargen area (South Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, Sarangani Province and Gensan).
But anyway, now, I've decided that I'll continue my blogger account and blog about my hometown General Santos City or "Gensan" for short. I'm proud of my hometown! I'll showcase its PEOPLE, FOOD, PLACES, ACHIEVEMENTS, HAPPENINGS and, of course, ITS ARCHITECTURE. I'm so proud of my "masterpiece" ( I'll call it my masterpiece for now because I've put hardwork and learned wordpress in just a few days! It's a feat!) hehehe...So stay tuned for my work here too!
